Design Thinking

Brief

With increasing crimes happening across the city, residents and visitors feel unsafe at night time. Manchester is reliant upon the Night Time Economy, so CityCo asked;

How can we design a support tool for a Manchester night out? A night out that helps you consider how to engage with what the city hast to offer in a safe and enjoyable way ?

Process

We used the Double Diamond to structure the brief, and to guide us. This methodology helps to frame problems in human-centric ways, and allowed us to re-iterate. As part of the Double Diamond, interviews and prototyping were carried out.

Understanding cutting-edge thinking and industry trends related to safety cities.

Ability to use different tools to approach the problem such as : User research, customer journey mapping, sketching, prototyping, personas and iteration.

Digital Technologies

Brief

How might we use personal data to design Hyper-personalised BBC experience?

- Help BBC to understand future audiences and their needs.

- Map and predict future technological milestones.

- Visualise the future scenarios and creative ideas.

Process

Process

Brief

Process

Our initial approach for the project was aimed at understanding the current context of data collection and its relevancy for consumers. Topics we researched: the BBC as an organisation and its public perception in the UK, the General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR), data surveillance, and future trends in media technology.

We researched potential digital vulnerabilities. We found that baby boomers are seven times more likely to share fake news on social media than any other demographic
The findings suggest that baby boomers, while generally internet-savvy, lack the level of digital literacy that younger generations, especially the so-called “digital natives” grew up with. Additionally, we broadened our understanding on how social media algorithms function, the formation of echo-chambers, and hyper-personalisation.

Solution

Our digital solution to the BBC BOX project centres around the idea of using personal data transparently to create better hyper-personalisation for baby boomers and other demographics.

We envision a service that utilises the data collected from users’ services like Facebook and Spotify to present them with the most relevant content (Personalisation), give them control over their data (Transparency) and simplify the process of transferring data from one service to another through the BBC BOX, that's what we call "sustainable hyperpersonalisation".

Business Transformation

EYXLOGO.png

Process

Process

Brief

- How do we shape EY to meet the needs of current and future clients      and markets they operate in?

- What does the market look like in 10 years?

- What will the professional services industry look like?

- What does that mean for our model and how we go to market?

- How is the perception of EY and our brand helping or hindering us
in securing future success in our chosen markets?

- What does that mean in relation to the 3Ts?

We elaborate SWOT Analysis and we had deepen understanding of the drivers that will shape the future of work in the next 30 years. Therefore we could reframe the original question and recommend a solution across time for the EY transformation.
